With The Writers, Desperado Music Productions brings a unique theater show that takes the audience into the heart of songwriting — from Nashville to the Netherlands.

How is a song created?
Where does it begin?
And what makes a song timeless?

During this performance, audiences get an exclusive look into the creative process of singer-songwriters. Not only through stories and music, but also through live interaction with the audience. You become part of the process: words, themes, or ideas from the crowd are transformed on the spot into a brand-new song — performed at the end of the show, or, if it turns out to be something truly special, even recorded later in the studio.

In addition, the artists perform their own original work and well-known songs, along with the stories behind them that you would normally never hear.

The Writers is an evening filled with music, stories, and pure creativity — straight from the heart. An intimate, inspiring, and surprising performance where nothing is set in stone… except the music.
